Troye Sivan (you can read about him and listen to his enchanting music here and here) chose the beautiful Dua Lipa to open for his Suburbia tour in 2016. Dua is a husky-voiced young Albanian singer, born and raised in London, with a great vibe and a sense of style. Daughter of an Albanian rock singer, she apparently started out doing covers on a YouTube channel and eventually began releasing her own music. In May 2016 she released the lively and ear-wormy Hotter than Hell…I challenge you to get the refrain to leave your brain after one listen:
Hotter than Hell was followed by the almost-as-ear-wormy Blow Your Mind (Mwah):
Dua has since released a few more singles, all of which will be compiled into a Warner Brothers album release some time in 2017 (the date has been pushed back a couple of times and is slated to be June 2017 as of this writing). Martin Garrix has also just released a new dance number featuring her vocals, but I'm not quite as enamored of that one.
