Happy September! I'm not fond of fall…the earth feels sad. I know this disagrees wildly with the images of bountiful harvest, lush reds/yellows/oranges, cheerful pumpkin decorations, etc. But what can I say, I don't like fall. I'm a summer child, through and through. And the long winter in New England is not something I look forward to.
However, I've got a number of fun things going on this month! First of all, my good friend, Cassandra Austen, is publishing her first two novels this fall! Her first book is due out in October, entitled, Coming Home to Greenleigh. Because she needs someone to light a fire under her butt, she's putting out her current edits on Wattpad. Check it out!
Next, Cassandra is launching her very own website! It's still in the development stage, but it should be ready within the next month. Stay tuned….
As to my own work, Deep State is still in the editing process, and I foresee quite a lot of work needing to be done on the overall story arc. However, the good news is that I'm going to split it into three volumes, which should make the editing go faster. The release dates will be some time in early 2018! I'm really excited about this, because Deep State is a project I've been working on and thinking about for a very long time. I'm also noticing that there are Deep State themes all around me…if you've seen Homeland, The Americans, or even taken a look at the world around us and thought, hmmm…then Deep State is going to resonate for you, big time.
