Announcing: Cassandra Austen!
As I mentioned in this post and this post, I used to write romance novels. During the summer I embarked on a little project that involved posting chapters from two of my completed novels to Wattpad.
However, I ran into a little problem. I don't (actively) write romance anymore, although my current work-in-progress is a suspense novel with a strong romance subplot.
To put it bluntly, the romances are “sweet,” i.e. no sex and very few swear words. My suspense novel is a little grittier. I can see places where the two audiences absolutely won't cross over, and I don't want to annoy anyone in either group by being confusing.
So I did the obvious, which was to put the romances under a pseudonym.
From this date forward, I will be putting all my romance-related work under the name of Cassandra Austen. Yes, that's the name of Jane Austen's beloved sister!
Cassandra has a separate page on this site, and an entirely separate website. She also has an entirely separate email list, if you are interested in updates on her publication plans. You can find it on the front page of her website. She's planning on two releases in early 2018, and possibly more, depending on how much her fans like them!
